Aged in both vats and French oak barrels for 12 to 14 months in cellars in Nuits-Saint-Georges, this bottle comes from Domaine Faiveley in Burgundy, one of the most well known regions in the world of French wine. This is the historical home of both Pinot Noir grapes and a terroir that is ideal for bringing out the best in them.

Domaine Faiveley itself is also worth spending a little time on. Over time the people have changed, but the values of the winery, now in its seventh generation, have stayed the same. These values are respect for terroirs, a sense of rigorousness and pragmatism and the strong belief that a great wine is born from great grapes.

Since its founding in 1825, the Faiveley family has devoted most of its resources to acquiring the best vineyards in the finest climates in Burgundy : Gevrey-Chambertin, Volnay, Puligny-Montrachet and Mercurey among others. The vineyards are fragmented with an average surface area of just one hectare per appellation. The number of bottles produced for each wine is therefore particularly limited and exclusive.
